This is a simple knit tank top with ruffled border. It has openings on the shoulders which makes it easy for infants to wear.

Size: 3 to 6 months

Chest: 20 inches

Length: 10 inches

Gauge:   4 st/inch, 7 rows/inch 

Materials: Yarn Bernat Cottontots(one-and-a-half 85g balls), Needles US#7.

 

BACK :

Ruffled Border:

CO 126 st.

Rows 1-7: K3 P3 ribbing.

Row 9(WS): 42 st remain. P.

Row 10(RS):K2tog.Knit till 2 stitches remain.K2tog.

Neck Band:

With RS facing, pick up 27 st around the neck, do K1P1 ribbing for 4 rows. On 5th row BO.

Shoulder Bands:

With RS facing, pick up 12 st along one of the shoulder edge, K1P1 ribbing for 1st row. On 2nd row make buttonholes by doing YO,K2tog,K1. Continue K1P1 ribbing till the 4th row. On 5th row BO.

 

Finishing

With right side of knitting facing sew up the side seams. Sew on buttons on the back’s shoulder bands.
